I am always up to read poetry especially when it is poetry that causes the reader to introspect and think deeply about a particular topic and resonate with it which I feel that this book will do. I look forward to reading it. Thank you for your review!

I think that adding musical notations to the poems is a very creative way for Black for pass their poetry across. However, I'm not sure I'll be the best reader to appreciate it since I don't enjoy poetry, so I'll skip this read.

Your review and recommendations make this collection of poems a must read. Including your personal favorites is a nice touch in that it offers a relatability that can be lacking in some reviews. Knowing that the collection was written by a singer/song writer and that music is a part of the poetry itself makes me want to read it as if I were reading song lyrics, which is intriguing.

The Sound of the Broken Wand by Tiki Black is a collection of beautiful, poignant, touching, and inspiring poems. Also an award-winning singer and songwriter, the author shares her experiences and touches on various themes like love, fear, healing, etc. This is not a genre I usually read, so I'll skip it, but I recommend it to poetry lovers. Congratulations on the BOTD!
