No, but I can't seem to avoid it. I personally prefer not to use a bookmark at all. I usually read a chapter at a time, so I just have to remember what chapter I'm on.

Although I keep books in great condition, the one flaw that I have is folding the page corner down. I'm not a fan of book marks, the paper ones just don't stay put and up until now, I've never heard of a magnetic bookmark. Of course there is always the option of a paper clip or book clip but I can't seem to hold onto anything other than the books themselves. I'm a lost cause.

Yes, I collect them. There are so many different kinds. I rarely tell people that I collect bookmarks, because they usually think it's weird. I like to pick a different one when I pick a new book to read, one that goes with the book maybe. I often pick up new bookmarks when I travel. I have about 300 of them.

I have a couple of regular bookmarks, but most of mine are signed from the authors so I keep them in a place where they cannot get damaged.

I usually just use a piece if paper. But if I see one I like it's hard not to spend money on them. So I do have a collection. But I also have to be careful about losing them.

authorkcfinn wrote:It seems to be quite a popular thing with fans on social networks now. I give away a lot of signed print bookmarks and there's always loads of collectors entering the giveaways to win them, then you get emails back where they photograph your marker in their collection and thank you! I think it's a wonderful thing to think that a little something of your book has made it into someone's daily living.
That's a very cool idea, giving signed bookmarks to fans.

Oh, I love bookmarks! I used to have a lot. I don't get to use them very often anymore, and I lose them a lot, but they are so fun!

I normally use a piece of paper (most commonly the hold slip from the library!) - but I still find myself picking up bookmarks when I'm in bookstores or at fairs. So I have a whole 'collection' in a box in my study ...

I have several autographed bookmarks and some autographed postcards. I like to collect them. I find myself using business cards to mark my spot in a book.

I've never thought about that! I always end up losing bookmarks! I am proud of myself for having the same one for 2 years. I would love to collect some Harry Potter ones though, that would be fun for me.
All I need is a new book and a place to read it...

I collect signed bookmarks from authors. But they are just for collection. I don't use then since i'm using an e-reader.

I used to when I was a kid. Sadly, though, they would all end up bent and missing. Nowadays, I tend to read digital copies of books.

I don't really care for book marks. I am a bit of a sloppy book handler. I love to bend pages.
