First they are in Arizona then they are in Vidza? Whoa! You just have to get "Walter The Woogobee: The Vortex to Vidza" by Brenda Beckelman and find out what is going on! The story is fun, the illustrations are child-friendly and the science is real! Walter and his companions in adventure fly through a vortex in space to a place where elephants fly and the wind speaks.
One thing the reviewer did not like was that the dialogue did not always clearly mark who was speaking.

While the book sounds delightful in the description, I have no need or use for Children's Books at the moment, unfortunately. But I certainly will keep this one in mind, just in case, because the adventure it offers is quite a journey and an excellent life lesson on the dangers of ignorant curiosity. Congratulations on BOTD!

A good option for children as it encourages to think outside the box, teaches the importance of helping people in need, and shows a peaceful way of resolving conflict, etc.

“Walter the Woogobee” by Brenda Beckelman is a wonderful story for children. The book includes color illustrations, and the content can teach readers and the children being read to about the importance of helping people in need. Conflict can be resolved peacefully and should not see war as the best solution. Walter is transported to Earth by a device developed by his father when their planet was attacked by an asteroid. When Walter arrived on Earth, he thought that a cowboy named Bayon, and his horse were pets. Walter was shocked when Bayon spoke to him and Bayon could not believe Walter could talk. I cannot wait to read this book to my great grandsons. Too bad this BOTD was not free for the day. A well-written book for children.
