Sometimes after reading a really terrible book I can't read anything else for a couple of weeks. There also are times where I can't decide on a genre so nothing sounds that great. Kind of like when you stand in front of the refrigerator and don't know what you want to eat.
Then again especially right before school is going to start in August I have to give my mind a reading break before going back to reading essays all the time!

Idk about wether I get bored of reading. I think it's just cause I have nothing else in my house to read but I definitely have "cycles" as well. I was stuck binge playing ACBF for 2 weeks straight! Then I binge watch series on Netflix. I love movies as well as reading though so if there's nothing to watch/read I look for something else. Wether a new book or tv series

Sometimes when I read a lot of books in a short amount of time, I get into a "book slump" and I do other things for awhile. Finding a really good book always helps this! :)

Well, I feel like moderation is the key to everything. You can always have too much of something, and there's no doubt that you can always have too little of something. So I occasionally just take a week or two when I have a lot of due dates put on me, and just take a break to focus on the other things that I need to do. I sometimes miss it, but sometimes its nice to just relax and sit back, doing nothing instead of having to process stuff. but I don't know. that's just my opinion. :? :o

Blasphemy. I'm always reading. My pace may slow down but for the last two years I have always been currently reading something. I try to plan ahead what I'm going to read and if a book changes my current mood I will adjust accordingly. I try to always have a book on hand.
All I need is a new book and a place to read it...

I never get bored of reading but my enthusiasm waxes and wans a bit depending on the book and what else is going on! I am engrossed in House of Cards right now so that is cramping my reading style but it's so good, I can't stop watching it to read haha!

I might get bored with a specific book but I never get bored reading. Just not enough hours in the day and probably won't be enough days in my lifetime to read all the books I want to read.

The only time I can honestly say I get bored reading, is if the book is boring or not very well written. With books like that I find myself getting distracted easily and struggling through them.

I had an English teacher who told us a lovely story one day in class. She said that as you go through life, you'll notice that the things you ENJOY doing start to take a back seat, and the things you HAVE to do become where you dedicate most of your time. She then told us about how as a little girl, she used to enjoy swimming, but as she grew up, went to college, and got a job--she never made the time for it later. Then, a few days before she told us this story, she went on a snorkeling trip with some friends, and as she got in the water, she remembered how much she loved it and didn't want to get out, and was shocked at how little time she had spent over the years doing what she loved.

I've put reading books off before; but every time I did this for long stretches of time, I felt like something was missing. I hope to apply this teacher's life lesson more to my life; but sometimes we need to 'force' ourselves to do what we love, just to get into that 'happy place' again. :-)

I have burnout periods sometimes after I've been reading a lot for a while, especially when I'm reading something I don't find very interesting or am busy with other things.

Depends on how busy I am, but no matter what I read 2 pages everyday before going off to sleep. It is kind of an addiction, cannot sleep without reading. :) :)
