I would rate the book 4 out of 5 stars. The reason for my rating is the excessive graphic description in the book.

Reading the brutal scenes in the book was occasionally disturbing, and it almost made me stop reading. However, as a psychologist, I found the characters' psychological profiles very interesting.

Overall, the novel presents a rich fictional universe with well-constructed characters. What I like most is how the protagonists' backstories are thoroughly explored, providing clear motives for their actions.

I have to give it its flowers for the beautiful character development. Also, I loved the medieval theme and tone it had. Overall, this book would get a five out of five star rating from me, mainly because of the development and solid delivery. I enjoyed the protagonist a lot.

I think this book was an amazing read! The author has done a wonderful job in describing all the minute details of every scene and character while keeping a brisk pace during the entire novel, which in my opinion is always hard to do with so many characters. One of the things I enjoyed the most was the significance the author gave to the different relationships in one’s personal life, such as the sibling bond. I feel the genre of this novel is largely fantasy based and would recommend this book to anyone interested in that genre. I really liked the mystery of the cover and thought the title gave an accurate summary of what the book was about! From this book one of my main take aways was to enjoy whatever time I get with the ones I love as you never know what may happen.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fantasy novels, the characters are well developed and the story is fast paced and very interesting!

The cover and title of this book immediately attracted my attention. The story's science fiction and fantasy genres are prominent, and the author's writing style keeps the story flowing from beginning to end. The only thing I disliked about this book was the number of errors that I encountered that a professional editor would have found. Due to the gory content and non-borderline profanity, this book is for mature fans of science fiction and fantasy.

It was an epic fantasy that was rich in story, history, and culture. I enjoyed it so much. Fantasy is not the genre that is easy to write because of many things you have to take into consideration. I would rate it four out of five stars because as much as I enjoyed it, it didn't blow my mind that much.
‘When you do a good deed, people are grateful, and that creates a nice feeling inside you; and then because it feels good, that makes you want to do more good deeds. That repetition is the cycle of goodness.’

NetMassimo wrote: 01 Jul 2024, 08:11 Overall, I think that the novel has a rich fictional universe with well-constructed characters.

What I like most is that the protagonists have their own backstories that are explored in the novel, which give them their motives.

What I like least is that in the end, the demons are quite mundane, as their society and families resemble those of humans.

The writing style is easy to follow, and I think the author got some inspiration from manga and anime.

The genre is fantasy with a setting that seems more like science fiction, as it's set on a planet with technology that's even more advanced than our current level.

I don't read much about cover and title.

The lessons you can learn from the novel are about the importance of strong relationships, within your family and also with other people you can rely on.

I recommend this novel to fans of fantasy stories with coming-of-age elements and don't mind some gory descriptions.
This is amazing thank you for sharing.

It is a highly enjoyable fantasy book that I would reread time and time again. I think the book deserves 5 out of 5 stars, and the suspense and tension are withheld throughout. Just from the first few pages, I was captivated already.

What I Like Most: I appreciate the depth of the characters and how their personal struggles and growth are portrayed. Spirit's journey and the dynamics within his squad, combined with the political intrigue among the demons, add layers of complexity to the story.

What I Like Least: There are few negatives to point out, but if I had to choose, some readers might find the darker themes and violence a bit overwhelming.

Writing Style: Eviston’s writing style is vivid and descriptive, making it easy to visualize scenes and empathize with characters. The transitions between different perspectives are smooth, keeping the narrative cohesive and engaging.

Genre: The primary genre of "Demonslayer" is fantasy. However, it also incorporates elements of action, adventure, political intrigue, and a touch of dark fantasy.

Cover and Title: The cover and title are both fitting for the book. They effectively convey the epic and intense nature of the story, attracting fans of the fantasy genre.

Greatest Lesson: The greatest lesson from "Demonslayer" is the importance of resilience and the lengths one will go to protect loved ones. It also touches on themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and the complexities of moral choices in times of conflict.

Recommendation: I would highly recommend this book to fans of fantasy and action-adventure genres. The rich character development, engaging plot, and thought-provoking themes make it a compelling read. However, I would caution sensitive readers about the mild violence and darker elements.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on "Demonslayer" by Ian P. Eviston. I couldn't agree more with your assessment of the book's strengths, particularly in character development and world-building. Eviston truly has a knack for crafting complex characters and an immersive setting that draw readers in from the first page. I share your assessment of the book.
