Do you think there was really a pandemic?

I believe there was a pandemic. There was a world wide lock down so many horror stories for it not to have happened. Although I did not get COVID to this day, I know many people who have and have suffered because of it.

Yes there was! There were deaths all over and a lockdown that gravely affected us all. Many lost their jobs, loved ones, livelihoods, etc. If that's not a pandemic, I don't know what is.

In my personal opinion, I can say that it was a pandemic. It affected the whole world, not a single country was left out of the epidemic.
The author worked with figures collected from official reports. If several hospital departments and services are closed in an epidemic situation, those patients do not receive adequate care and die. The number of tumor or heart patients has not decreased due to COVID. I don't think the author took this into account.

Yes, it's worst nightmare for everyone including animals. Some animal were depending on human. Economies were at downturn and financial stability was very bad. Though many of them recover from covid-19, they were most of the person who couldn't recover from mental trauma that caused by covid-19. It'd became a permanent scar in their mind.

There was absolutely a pandemic. A pandemic of fear, mistrust, deception. An there was also a rampant virus at the same time.
It is fact that this was a worldwide pandemic. But it goes much deeper than simply a virus.

Yes, I think there was a pandemic. The pandemic caused widespread illness, death, and economic disruption on a global scale, far exceeding typical flu seasons. Hospitals in numerous countries were stretched beyond capacity, leading to a shortage of medical resources and tragic loss of life.

There was pandemic, Panic, more than searching what's real it was more of how much got affected mentally, physically. They have affected, that's true but doesn't know is it exactly by panic or COVID.

Absolutely there was, and everyone was affected by it in a big way! Now, of course theories about the source of the problem, whether China was trying to paralyse the world etc, are just conspiracy theories in my opinion, but the epidemic was definitely there. That was no illusion or conspiracy theory!

Clearly there was a pandemic. The author almost seems to be parsing what the definition of "pandemic" is in order to bring Covid outside of that definition, but I don't think that's going to work because it classifies as a pandemic by all metrics.

I believe the author is wrong. The pandemic caused major disruptions in health, the economy, and daily life everywhere, leading to significant restrictions on freedom and widespread challenges. It was a real and far-reaching crisis.

Hmm, this is really a though provoking question. If there was no pandemic, then what was making people sick—sometime to the point of death? I know that in most African countries, the COVID mortality rate was quite low compared to other Caucasian continents. This is a question that many conspiracy theorists would love!

There definitely is a pandemic. We aren’t as involved with it because now there are vaccines but not everyone can be careless about it still. I have family members with compromised immune systems so we still have to wear masks and be extremely cautious. It can be hard because of the people that are intentionally disrespectful to those wearing a mask.
