I watched the first movie, then read the books, and I must say I loved them all. I will never read the books again, but I will definitely watch the movies. Saw them 4 times probably.

The novels are definitely way better than the movies! Though I feel if you watch the movies without reading the novels that disappointment is not there, if I do not compare the movies to the novels then the movies on their own are quite enjoyable!
