Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

I think the author did a good job of leaving an opening for the rest of the books in the series, which I am eager to read.

Battles have been fought, Spirit and his compatriots have matured, are tired yet satisfied, Amelia is still alive, Meiko has had his come-uppance, and the demons are raring to go.. all poised for the next instalment of this exciting saga.

I loved to hate the ending. I was not expecting Emily to die the way she did. I think the concept of the runes on the lockets was masterfully done. I enjoyed the shock value from it, though I wasn't ready for that character to go. It was a great setup ending for the next book.

How could you kill off Emily? I was so saddened for Spirit! The book definitely ended in such a manner; you can go right into the next installment!

The conclusion of Demonslayer was truly epic. Spirit and his comrades have grown, weary yet fulfilled, with Amelia still standing strong and Meiko having faced his due. The demons are eager for the next battle, setting the stage for an exciting sequel. The author masterfully engaged readers, sparking their imaginations and leaving room for fresh ideas and possibilities in future installments

My biggest question moving forward is who Ian plans to replace Emily with, and whether I shall relate with the new character in the next installment as I did with Emily. I can't wait for the next volume in this series.

Emily will always have a place in my mind. She was a character, I was saddened to see go, especially because of what the loss meant to Spirit. Still, I must say that the ending was satisfying for a sequel by giving room for anticipation.

I liked how the book ended, and I want to read more about what happens next. It was tough to lose Emily. She was such a sweet and kind soul. And I'm surprised that Spirit was able to jump back into action so quickly, considering she was his main motivation. I'm glad to see that the team is more united now, and he has people to rely on for support.
