Nice review! This is absolutely a book I would have read as a child (and now, since I still love children’s books). Stories involving animals, especially in their relationships to humans, will NEVER die. There is just too much to learn, explore, and get creative with.

This is a lovely book for children, with full illustrations across each page. The vocabulary is at an appropriate level and the story is quick, fun and informative. The additional information regarding the breed was very helpful.

Nico sounds like the most adorable pet. The pictures and illustrations will be perfect for kids. Unfortunately, I'm not into children's book, so I'll skip this one.

With education in mind, a book that adds value to a child's learning will always get a 5 out of 5 stars from me, as it did you. I enjoyed reading your review. It provided me with the information I would need if I were purchasing a children's book. You also mentioned that the illustrations were colorful, adding to the appeal of this book. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the book. It was very helpful.

Pets, like humans, can feel lonely and sad when left alone in a quiet home. The silence can become a painful reminder of their need for companionship. Whether we have feathers or skin, we all long for warmth, shared moments, and laughter. "NICO" reminds us that true companionship is more than just being there—it's about empathy and easing loneliness. Congratulations to the author, #BOTD!
