Music of the past is totally good compared to music of nowadays,the so called contemporary music.

Money control the music today. It controls the lyrics, the style, the moods of us, society up brings, and controls children mental standards. So 95% are doing it for money and clout.

Sadly, I believe you are correct about most of the music today. However, we can be thankful to have recordings of the great music of past years!

That's a tough one. But I find the soulful music of the past good for healing and when I'm down, while I prefer the music of today at parties, workouts, and for happy times.
