The effects of the slave trade have left an enormous scar on humanity's heart. Marcus Wilson's book Columbus, Slave Trader sheds significant light on the subject and presents the story uniquely. However, I still can't understand why it was a good idea to swap gold for trading slaves. This is an excellent recommendation, though.

I am surprised to learn that Columbus was a slave trader, but I like that this story is told from the perspective of Guarocuya, a native of Hispaniola. As I am not fond of historical fiction novels, I will pass on this one. However, I am pleased you found the narrative riveting and that you appreciated the book's flawless editing. I have read this book and yes, I agree with you. Most people regard Columbus as the explorer who inspires people to take chances and never give up on their quest, but this book will beg them to consider another side of this historical figure. The narrator brought a different flavour to the overall. His well kept secret that he has been to Spain and met the Queen kept me on my toes as a reader. I recommend the book to everyone, too. A very well researched novel.provides a unique historical insights. The author offers a different perspective that challenges the traditional narrative about Columbus. I didn't know the dark side of him being a slave trader. It is an eye opening read. Thank you for your informative review.

I'm interested in knowing Columbus the slave trader because, like most, I had thought that he was an explorer.
