Vanessa, the main character, is totally relatable. She's just trying to figure out life, you know? But the world around her is crazy! There's this whole peace-and-love thing going on, but it's like there's a dark undercurrent.
The book is a total page-turner. I couldn't put it down!

I loved how the author, Patricia Skipper, showed us that things weren't as perfect as they seemed. Beneath the shiny surface of the decade, there was a lot of stuff going on. The story is super engaging and keeps you hooked. It's like watching a really cool movie, but with way more depth.
If you're into books that make you think about the past and how it shapes today, then Deceptive Calm is definitely for you. It's a total page-turner!
