What is better than reading a riveting mystery to get over a heartbreak? The only thing better is to read one where the hero is going to a foreign land to get over his heartbreak too! That is what happens in "A Reckoning of Wolves" by Judy Higgins. Dr. Lawson goes to Saudi Arabia to help heal his heartbreak. What he finds is a mystery and he confronts many restraints on personal freedoms in that place.
If you're going through hell, keep going.

Another mystery book with a twist, blending elements of romance and intrigue. The protagonist, fresh from a breakup he desperately wants to move on from, receives an unexpected invitation to Saudi Arabia. As an American, he encounters some surprising challenges upon arrival. I’m eager to see how his journey unfolds and whether he finds love in the process. I haven’t come across many love stories that delve into Saudi culture, so I’m excited to see what this book has to offer. Thank you for the insightful review. Congratulations to the author on BOTD.

With its potent mix of suspense and action, 'A Reckoning of Wolves' has the makings of a compelling read. Tackling complex issues like heartbreak, social justice, and creative freedom, I hope the author has handled these topics with the care and sensitivity they deserve, creating a story that's both thrilling and thought-provoking.

I completely agree with this review! I was thoroughly engrossed in 'A Reckoning of Wolves' from start to finish. The author's masterful weaving of themes, coupled with a gripping narrative, made for a truly unforgettable read. The way the story expertly balanced action, suspense, and social commentary was impressive. While I did notice a few minor typos, they didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the book. The glossary of Arabic names was a thoughtful touch, adding depth to the story. Overall, a well-crafted mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seat - 5 stars well deserved.

In a place like Saudi Arabia, someone who values freedom of speech and human rights would put those beliefs to the test. A mystery would enhance the already high level of tension created by that theme, making for an engaging book. I appreciate your excellent review.
