The gentlemen bastard series by Scott lynch
The first book is Lies of Lock Lamora. It's a three-book series.
You will meet thieves. con-artist, pirates, and lots of plot twists with great dark humour if you read the series. One of my favorite fantasy series.

you should try reading the book Six of Crows, its a duology. It is one of the most amazing books I have ever read. The suspense as you follow the greatest theist of all time!!!!!! must read for fantasy lovers.
There is also An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir. It is inspired by ancient Rome, this book offers a vivid and immersive world with a gripping storyline its a great read!

Arkady Martine - A Memory Called Empire is fantastic

Also, Neal Stephenson builds vast worlds.

I like Hugh Howey, Emily St John Mandel, and Madeline Miller as well.

I will always recommend Joe Abercrombie's First Law series, Robin Hobb's Fitz and the Fool series, and Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive series. Brilliant worldbuilding and storylines!
