I can get distracted easily when their is noise of any kind. I prefer total silence to concentrate when reading.

Not really, no. I actually become so invested in my reading, if someone tried to have conversation with me I would not be able to hear them properly. The worst that can happen is that I do not process what the other person is saying while at the same time not processing what I am reading.

Absolutely not! I tune out the world and often have to be called to dinner several times by several people before I hear.

I have ADHD and for me, it is really hard to concentrate when someone is around me. I have to be alone, in my house. When I am outside or if someone is in the same room as me, it is very challenging for me to read.

Yes. Even if it's just something dropping or my dog snoring, I find myself reading the same sentence over and over until I zone myself back into the story

When reading online books, it's difficult to focus and easy to get distracted by social media on your phone.

I can definitely relate to that - when I'm tired or stressed, it’s much harder to focus and I find my mind wandering more easily. However, when I’m fully engaged and in the right frame of mind, distractions are less of an issue. it also depends on the book tbh, if its boring, I will allow myself to be distracted.

No! I don't get distracted that easily while reading but still I like reading away from all the distraction and in the silence of my own thoughts so that I can get away from this world into the one of the book.

Quite the opposite! While deeply immersed in the book world, I tend to be oblivious to the real world.

Very easily, which can become problematic for exaggerating the situation and ruined the whole experience for me if the environment is not the ideal. My principal distractions happen before starting reading as I tend to feel lazy to do it haha and kind of not getting into the story until a few more pages without stopping.

If the book is good and captivating, I can tune out the world. If it's not a great book, then yes, I can be easily distracted.

Depends on the day and the book, I can get into the zone and the world just doesn’t exist beyond my book but sometimes everything in the actual world keeps me from focusing on my book

It is usually the opposite for me! Once I start a good book, I have trouble focusing or thinking about anything else. I have to be careful about when I start a book, so that I don't end up putting off something that really needs to be done. I love that the rest of the world falls away when I read.
