Saboteur by Kevin Murphy is a gripping historical thriller set during World War I, following the French cargo ship Mont Blanc’s perilous journey to Halifax with explosive munitions. The novel masterfully blends real historical events with fiction, featuring complex protagonist Ben Stendt, whose espionage missions add intrigue, suspense, and unexpected twists.
Well portrait review.

The French Cargo ship Mont Blanc is the subject of this historical thriller. The author chronicles its journey from New York to Halifax in 1917. The blend of history and reality bring to life a bygone era which WWI enthusiasts will enjoy. Besides the harsh weather conditions, the characters' lives are also endangered by the cargo onboard.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting historical fiction following a French Cargo ship bound to Halifax from New York at the height of WWI. Its voyage will be anything but routine. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

This is a wonderful review of the book, and I have no doubt that Saboteur is a peak historical thriller with immersive storylines, engaging hooks, and a beautifully crafted world of interesting characters, not to mention the main character, Ben Stendt. I will say less about him. Your mention of the book's flawless editing is also commendable. This is a truly remarkable piece of literature.

Mixing historical facts and events with fictional characters, events and action makes for a compelling read. In "Saboteur" by Kevin Murphy, we have just such a tale. Our hero is Ben Stendt whose mission is to be a saboteur, changing his life and his relationships during WWI. The action includes places like Halifax, New York and the sea in 1917. The cargo and intrigue aboard the French cargo ship makes for a page-turning story. Thank you for the excellent review.
