I'm selective with my reading, which is why I'm picky with recommendations. It depends on the person, how well he knows me and whether or not we share other interests. There are few people in the world who fit into that small category, but I do take suggestions to heart from those who do.

I love getting suggestions from people who I know have enjoyed a few of the same books I have! I don't like when people recommend books to me just because they know I read when they don't really know what I like to read.

Yes and No, I am always willing to try a book, but sometimes the book is just in my wheel house. But as an avid reader I will try anything...and usually always finish the book. I do no think that I have ever started a book and no finished it...even it if took a while for me to finish it! I like to give suggestions of books as well as recieving them!

I love to get book suggestions. It really helps me find something to read, as there are so many books to choice from and I would love to read them all.

I actually really enjoy getting book suggestions. I love reading new titles and descriptions and see if they are interesting and if I want to read them. It's a good way to find about a new book.

I love getting suggestion, but I judge by covers and summaries, so don't get mad if I don't read them.

Ah that's a tricky question. Considering that everyone I know doesn't actually read, when they actually do have a book to recommend, I feel hesitant. I guess I just don't trust their judgement. I've honestly never read a book that any of my friends have recommended, even though it's very rare when they do. I don't even need book suggestions to be honest. I feel like I manage on my own. All I have to do is walk into a bookstore and leave with the first ten books that caught my attention. And then if I like them, I look at the suggestions that goodreads offers haha. I trust goodreads' suggestions more than my friends'!

Yes, I'm always happy for suggestions. It's always fun to hear someone talk about a book they're excited about. Plus, it often helps me to find books I otherwise might not have read.

Yes and no. I mean, without suggestions, there'd be no way to come across authors unknown to you. But at the same time, having so many books recommended to me just makes me want to read them - making my already huge 'To Read List' even bigger.

I like suggestions, especially when it comes up in conversation. I like seeing that a book truly moved someone and they want to talk about it. I still really like to find my own books too. I may or may not take people's suggestions but I like and appreciate hearing it. I sometimes ask people if the book they are reading is good if it piques my interest.

I don't mind getting suggestions, especially from my family because we like a lot of the same kinds books.

I don't like it unless I ask for one. I have a certain type of book that I prefer, and when people suggest one after I already have several I want to read, I find it unnecessary.
