Mostly of last books in a series that have come out since I finished the last one
Not sure which one I'll read yet though!

I just finished 2001 and am just about finished with 2010. I have seen both films many times but have never read the books until now. I am really glad I have read those two books now because I now understand a lot more of the story, especially the latter part of 2001. There has been criticism that Clarke explained too much thus eliminating mystery, however I must disagree.. there is plenty of mystery left in the story of stargates and unseen god-like beings.Iggy_86 wrote:1. Demain by Hermann Hesse
2. Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
3. 2001: A Space Oddyssey by Arthur C. Clark
4. If on a Winter's Night a Traveler by Italo Calvino
5. Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami
6. Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl
7. Paradise Lost by John Milton
8. Hyperspace by Michio Kaku
9. The Kingdom of God is Within You by Leo Tolstoy
10. The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand
I'm not that strict in following these though. I have a list up on goodreads, mostly as a reference not to forget to read most of the books.
Maybe one day I will venture on to the other books in the series but for now I think Im going to be happy to end it at 2010.. especially with the overwhelmingly bad reviews the later books got.

I really like war history.. especially 20th century war history whether it be non-fiction or fiction based on a real experience.. and especially the Vietnam war. My next book will be To The Limit. Its a memoir written by Tom A. Johnson who was a Huey pilot in the 1st Air Calvary. He recounts his unforgettable experience in Vietnam during which he piloted several dangerous missions some of which he barely escaped.
