J. Kenner

Post by Lovely_Ink »

After being an early fan of the 50 Shades franchise I was turned off by the saturation of the market with billionaire erotica spinoff series. Sure I would read them but much of what I read was cookie cutter formula, non intriguing words on paper.... And then I got to the Stark trilogy.

J.Kenner has caught my attention once against with a series that has its own identity. Yes some of the elements are similar but the series has enough of its own uniqueness that I identify with the characters and want to keep reading their stories. I will say that the last book of the series was a bit disappointing in its brevity but overall a good series.

Following on the heels of the Stark trilogy, Kenner had released the first book in the Wanted series. Pros: it's a complete series, the sex is hot, I could relate to the characters and the editor used spell check ( one of my major peeves). Cons: the story drags in places. I did, however, read the book in one sitting and I will be anxiously awaiting the next one. Interested in hearing your thoughts.

I love the Stark Series. I have also read Wanted and it was good as well. The Stark series still being my favorite out of the two. I just also read the novella Take Me and Tame Me. They are both short reads but still hot!

I just finished Tame Me! I was really skeptical about reading Wanted but I picked it up at the book store and absolutely loved what she did with the stories. I can't wait for the rest of the series to come out.

Just a few more days until book two in the Most Wanted series. There's also a Stark International spin off.

Ditto here! I agree that the stark trilogy was similar but well written on its own that it didnt seem like a rip off from 50 shades.. I read the series in two days o_O so i really enjoyed it. I haven't read wanted yet but its now def on my want to read list. Thanks ladies :)

I loved the stark series. The main reason I read it was because I read it was good for people that liked 50 shades of grey which I did. There are a bunch of series out there like that and I enjoy reading them. I especially like it when they are all released and I do not have to wait to find out what happens. :D

I just read Jamie and Ryan's story in the Stark International spin-off, Tame Me. It wasn't bad. It was kind of sweet but still hot for a short read.

I just finished the first two books of the Stark trilogy and I really enjoyed them. It's nice to finally read about a woman who can hold her own and stand up for herself against her billionaire boyfriend. I haven't read the third one yet but so far I like this series much more than 50 Shades.

I couldn't make it past the first few chapters of Claim Me and ended up selling the book in my garage sale for $1.00. It was boring and didn't have the same appeal as Fifty Shades or the Crossfire books. I doubt I'll pick up anymore J. Kenner books. I like to be shocked but with Claim Me, I quickly lost interest.
