Re: Coffee or Tea?

Post by DiDi »

I could always go for a good cup of coffee with either a splash of french vanilla or hazelnut creamer (depending on what I have in the refrigerator). I thoroughly enjoy sitting in the breakfast nook of my home, gazing out into my backyard, listening to the birds chirp in the crisp, morning air. Something about that peaceful moment makes me feel alive.
However, coffee does not always do the trick. On those hot, summer afternoons, a nice tall glass of lemon iced tea is more than fantastic.

Take care everyone,

DiDi

The breakfast I relied on to finish my first novel consisted of a cup of coffee, glass of orange juice, and a banana. If I was feeling particularly creative that day, maybe a second cup accompanied by a piece of toast, cereal, or eggs. Seems to have worked. (That, and solving my major writer's block)

I don't really like coffee or hot tea, but I like to drink iced tea.

Coffee in the morning every morning. Tea, with cream, and honey when I write. Occasionally whiskey, wine, or beer, when it's useful or when I'm stuck on something. But the alcohol sometimes puts me to sleep so there's that.

Constant Comment tea with a bit of almond milk and 3 teaspoons of honey. I could drink it all day.

Coffee is like my oxygen. I drink it when I wake up, I drink it when I get home. I put two packets of artificial sweetener in it and almond joy coffee creamer. I can't function without it and I really love it when I'm getting ready to write or read a book. I do like my frilly, girly coffees from time to time. A javachip triple shot frappucino from starbucks, is delicious! Not delicious enough for the price...but still delicious. I drink my coffee while sitting on my bed with a binder full of notebook paper on my lap and a wooden pencil in my hand.

I love both coffee and tea but when I'm writing (or reading, for that matter), I usually drink tea. Caffinated, always. I always have milk in it, and a spoonful of sugar. Gets me in the mood to settle down and be productive. ^_^

Coffee with sugar is my habit. Sometimes I will add French vanilla creamer. When I am not drinking coffee I usually have a class of peach or pineapple mango green tea close by. or just plain water. I like hot tea (usually green or black) but for some reason that is not what I grab when writing.

I need to be admitted to Teaholics Anonymous. No really! It's ridiculous how many cups of Tea I drink for the day. I've developed a pattern of drinking a cup after every meal, and every time in between!

My favourite is Twinnings English Breakfast tea -- the red pack one; another favourite is the Black Chai Tea; both of these are good pick me ups and they make me feel like writing/ doing work.

Also, when I'm in a bad mood, Green Tea with lemon helps me a lot - it's my comfort.

There's also French Vanilla Tea when I'm feeling extra adventurous.

I've recently taken up coffee as well; and since I don't like drinking diabetes, I use A SMALL BIT of powdered cinnamon to sweeten it, instead of sugar and it is absolutely amazing -- you HAVE to try it.

depends. for some reason, i see coffee is a strictly functional beverage, meaning i only drink it when i need to stay away and finish a project or a paper or i have serious work to do --- which just so happens to be almost everyday; thank god i like the taste! i take my coffee with cream or half and half and some sugur, however i do enjoy a good cup of calming tea for my own indulgement (no function there!) but i drink that completely plain.

I hate tea and coffee - probably the only person in the world who does! Ha ha. I tend to drink litres and litres of Diet Pepsi instead... But I constantly have to run to the bathroom.
