I would love to see "This Much I Know Is True," by Wally Lamb, be made into a movie. The tension between the two brothers is so palpable in the book, and I believe, with the right actors, audiences would connect with the characters through their struggles.

The Lost World (Not that horrible King Kong rip they actually made, but the original story by Crichton)
The Gods Of Mars/Warlord Of Mars (no chance of that. Thanks Disney)
Everything featuring Jack Ryan (Little chance of that now. Thanks Paramount)
Airframe
Monkey Planet (the original story, but looking forward to the next POTA movie)

The rest of the Stephanie Plum novels by Janet Evanovich. One for the Money wasn't enough for me :)

I am waiting for them to make a movie our of the Pen Dragon series. I really love those books and would love to see how they pull that off with all of today's technology. It is one of those books that keeps you reading so I am sure that the movie would keep you watching.

They NEED to turn Pure by Julianna Baggot into a movie! I picture it in my head all the time and the settings, plot and characters are literally perfect for a movie. Its a post-apocalyptic master-piece with so much potential!
(I also really wanted The Spook's Apprentice series by Joseph Delaney to be made and it is! It looks good but judging by the trailer the film is going to very different from the books : /)

Books and movies are very different piece of art. It is like ideas and stories... not the same thing in my opinion. What gives a kick in a movie is what you can find from the book in it, it is like a continuation.
As for me, I am happy Dan Brown's Lost Symbol is getting filmed. Most of the books I read and loved are now movies.

I would like to see Slammed by Coleen Hoover as a movie.

The Witching Hour, by Anne Rice. Although I read the entire series, I think that the awesome characters, historical eras moved through in this particular book would be a great movie.

I would absolutely love if the Druss the Legend books came out on film. Any of David Gemmell's books should become movies. :)

The only contradiction I have to that wish is the possibility of the production getting the story or characters wrong. I noticed they did that with The Hunger Games, just in my opinion. But in saying that, it would be relatively hard to get the story and characters perfect according to a book.

I now want Looking Beyond the Pass by E.K. Hughes to become a movie adaption. Even though it is more than likely that I will be balling my eyes out throughout the entire movie. Just loved the book so much.

I think the Riftwar saga and the Serpantwar saga (both by Raymond E. Feist) would make amazing action packed movies! I would imagine they would go on forever and be similar to the Hobbit and The Lord of the Ring but take as long as the Harry Potter movies!
