Thank you, Salome, for your detailed and engaging review of The Indian and Me by Cathy DesRosiers Peebles. It’s wonderful to see how much the book resonated with you, especially with its blend of historical events and the emotional journey between Ki and Julia. You highlighted the compelling character development and the emotional layers beautifully, especially with Julia’s resilience and Ki’s internal conflict. It’s also valuable to know about the minor editing issues, and I appreciate your honest feedback regarding that aspect. Your insights make me look forward to diving into this unique mix of historical romance and revolutionary fiction!

Novels with stories that unfold during the American Revolutionary War are rare, and good ones even rarer. This book appears to be a unique dive into the events and characters of the time and should be appreciated by anyone with an inkling of interest in the time period. Congrats to the author on her achievement.

The Indian and Me by Cathy DesRosiers Peebles is a romantic and historical novel set during the American Revolution. Julia's transformation from adversity to fortitude is powerfully portrayed.

This is a book that I see as essentially about the difference between the Indian and the white culture. Ki and Julia have to become familiar with both. Congratulations on BOTD!

This is a typical clash of cultures in which only individuals who flinch against their old lives dare go against, pitting love against loyalty to kin and morals.
Sounds like an interesting story in with undertones of a romantic whirlwind.
Great reading to whomever opens the covers.

Being married into a loveless marriage with a disrespectful, abusive, greedy person interested in wealth and power, the protagonist suffered a lot. Set in an American Revolution era, the historical romance has a beautiful story and plots to look for. Great review!

Definitely not my cup of tea, because to me everything about Indian's is tarnished by the worst crime imaginable - destruction of the people and unique culture. We as a civilization were robbed of spiritual and nature-bonded philosophy by greed and cruelty. Sorry, I prefer to skip the book.

The review shows the depth of the story and the reviewer's enjoyment of it. The book combines romance with a bit of history. In addition to the presence of the factor of radical differences between the characters and how the author portraits that through the story. All of which makes the book interesting. Congrats on BOTD

People with wealth should always be wary of the kind of people they let into their circle. There are a lot of lessons to be learned from Julia's life. Congratulations on BOTD.

'The Indian and Me' by Cathy DesRosiers Peebles establishes male chauvinism as well as the truth that genuine love and sincere commitment still exist. Congrats to the author on BOTD. Great review.

I find it unfair and unacceptable when men become abusive. How does Julia handle such situations?
