The beautiful affection between Julia and Ki and the circumstances around them make the tale interesting and attention-grabbing. "The Indian and Me" seems compelling with the elements of historical romance and American revolutionary. Congratulations on BOTD!

A very hard decision to make! Historical fiction makes you understand life without being there.Good review

"The Indian and Me” is a story of loyalty, romance and even abuse. If Julia was in a good marriage she would not need Ki or have to travel to India to live with his clan, or be kidnapped by them. This story shows how ones live can change in a course of time and events. I will really love to read it.

Thank you for your thorough review, which highlights the summary of the book and the themes well, enough for readers to follow Julia's life. Great Job!

I'm glad Julia found solace in Ki after dealing with her awful husband John. It's sad that Ki is forced to choose between his heritage and Julia. I hope Julia and Ki find a way to weather the storm together.

The juxtaposition of the American Revolution’s turbulent historical events with Julia and Ki’s personal journey adds depth to the story, showcasing how individuals' lives and relationships can be deeply affected by political and cultural conflicts. Nice review.

When I see a storyline that highlights the details of things that occurred during the Revolutionary War, I get prepared to get as much information from it as possible. This is because various authors have varying perspectives, and I like the plot in this book. The characters seem interesting, and I look forward to finding out more about each one of them, especially Julia and K; their relationship is unique.

In the upcoming American Revolution, I'm pulling for the Patriots, of course. But it's interesting to see this monumental historical event from the viewpoint of an American Indian and a British Lieutenant Colonel's beautiful, high-society wife. Lord Townset tasks his reluctant bride with teaching a blue-eyed Indian named Ki how to read and write English and how to read maps, so that he can be a guide to Townset's troops in the upcoming conflict. But John Townset is not a good man, and Julia and the Indian share an instant mutual attraction.

I love historical romances and with the Revolutionary War setting, this one just has to be good. I've just read the sample so far. But I can't wait until Julia deserts John and runs off with the Indian. Thanks for the review. It really made me want to finish the book.

The story is set during the American revolution and features Julia, a white woman at the centre of controversy and the victim of an unfortunate kidnapping. Her companion, Ki, an indigenous Indian is torn between obligations to his tribe and assimilating to the western culture. The book is captivating and transports readers to a bygone era.

I love this book by Cathy DesRosiers Peebles! It sounds full of adventure and fascinating prospects. Julia Rainsford, married to John Townset, moves to America during the time of the American Revolution and falls in love with Ki, a blue-eyed individual of mixed white and Huron-Seneca Indian descent. I find that both shocking and intriguing, and I want to know more. Super congrats on Book of the Day—it's well deserved :tiphat: !
