Reverend Cheryl Anne Kincaid is the author of Don’t Move My Grandma’s Chair, a touching children’s story that captures the unique bond between grandparents and grandchildren. The relationship between grandkids and grandparents is truly special, and this book brings it to life beautifully. In this bittersweet story, a young girl reflects on her cherished memories with her grandmother and the special connection they shared, symbolized by her grandmother’s chair.

Rev. Kincaid does an excellent job of addressing the theme of loss in a way that young readers can understand and process. This book is a wonderful resource for parents to read with their children when navigating the loss of a loved one, as it emphasizes the importance of treasuring happy memories shared with that person. Through this story, children are encouraged to focus on positive, lasting moments that remain with them even after a loved one is gone. Readers will be curious to find out what happens with the beloved chair that carries a lifetime of love and memories.

Whether it is a family heirloom or a life lesson, most families hold certain items dear because of the memories attached to them. In this case, the chair is more than just a piece of furniture; it is a meaningful symbol that both the grandmother’s son and her granddaughter treasure. Rev. Kincaid successfully conveys to young readers the importance of caring for sentimental possessions and the value they bring to our lives.

Many children's books deal with simple concepts, but this one is both thought-provoking and enjoyable. That is what I love most about Don’t Move My Grandma’s Chair. When authors can create stories that are not only educational but also visually captivating, it is a true accomplishment. The artwork here enhances the story, making it both a visually and emotionally enriching experience.

I am pleased to give this endearing book, which is free of errors, 5 out of 5 stars. The themes of cherished memories, family, and spirituality held my attention from start to finish. I highly recommend this touching read for anyone looking for a meaningful story to share with young readers. I have no qualms or dislikes about this exceptionally well-edited book.

This sounds like such a lovely book! I don't see it as an opportunity for me to read and review...what a shame, I'd love to read it!
