I loved how you brought out the romantic and emotional depth of Diotima! Your take on Hölderlin’s journey and his connection with Susette really made the story come alive. Great job!

The poetry written in it felt very gentle. The author itself felt like a poet. It was actually worth reading.

I love how you described the play as "romantic, alluring, and devastating." It really shows how much emotion and depth the story has. Hölderlin and Susette's love story sounds so captivating, especially with the bittersweet ending that you can sense coming.

It seems like a well-written and captivating romance story. Holderlin, his romantic interest Susette, the author's writings, and a number of underlying issues all seem to come together in a special way. Congratulations on a wonderfully written review.

I am a fan of plays, whether reading them or watching them performed in the theatre. While the romance theme is not my favourite, I appreciate the richness of historical prose, particularly for its vivid settings. It's a genre I truly enjoy, and I would love to read it. Thank you for your wonderful review.

Very moving! I am a big theater nerd, and I love the format of the book. It feels like a script. Very easy to follow along to. The names kept stumping me though (I am not good with names overall, these had weird pronunciations). Otherwise, great book, would recommend to read it.

“Diotima: Romance Drama” by Bernard Kuckuck is a play about a man named Holderlin, a young poet that dreams about travel and advanced learning when he meets Susette, his Diotima that takes place in the time of Napoleon near the end of the 18th century. Susette is the dream woman he has been looking for all of his life. This is a love story that readers will cheer for this couple but sadly one will see the end of their romance coming long before the play ends. The play is romantic but ends in the tragic death of Susette. I enjoyed the sample.

Hölderlin’s journey, coupled with the timeless romance and his poetic musings, makes the play a moving tribute to love, ambition, and the creative spirit. The historical backdrop of a turbulent Europe adds a layer of authenticity that elevates the story further. Nice review.

'Doitima: Romantic Drama' by Bernard Kuckuck is an interesting romantic drama as the name implies, but why does it also have to be devastating? Thank you for a beautiful review.

I'm curious about Holderlin's dreams and what his fantasies were. I'll check this book out.

Holderlin is a young poet who yearns for love and travel. His encounter with Susette, a delicate beauty brings joy to his life. The author pens Diotima, an engaging play that follows Holderlin in his adventure across Europe in a time of uncertainty and unrest. The book is well-written with engaging dialogue that will keep readers glued.
