Seems to be an adorable plotline. Children's classics are always amazing to read, but what's worth beholding is the lasting impression they print on the little minds with their moral lessons and values. The story is a fun read. Kids will surely love this sea exploration. Deserves being BOTD.

“Mike & Alex: World Cruise by Whale” by Peter Van Wermeskerken is an excellent story written for children that includes a whale named Wally, Mike, Alex and two adult dolphins and four young dolphin offspring. Wally the whale was shot with a harpoon by two-legged humans in a boat. Wally is seriously injured and Father Matt Dol-Phin asks Mike and Alex, two very smart land animals, for help. The book includes two parts, 3 and 4, and it follows Mike and Alex’s travels and experiences with their new ocean friends, Wally and the dolphins. The detail in this story along with illustrations really make this a wonderful book. It will teach children about the value of friendship and the way friends help one another. The sample covers the time when Wally met Mike & Alex after Father Matt Dol-Phin asked them to help him save Wally. The remainder of part 3 covers their travels with Wally to different parts of the world including France, Wales, New Zealand and many other cities around the world. I look forward to reading this book to my three great grandsons.

This sounds like a wonderful book for kids. It not only entertains them but also raises their awareness of the ecological problems with the pollution of oceans. One of Mike and Alex's solutions for that problem picked my interest: "a solution where the garbage is deposited back on people's doorsteps". Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

'Mike and Alex' by Peter van Wermeskerken is definitely a good read. The place where it refers to humans as two-legged creatures got me smiling. Congratulations on BOTD.

Mike and Alex by Peter van Wermeskerken is an interesting kids’ book that is exactly about these two land animals that rescue other animals that are in trouble. This two-part series transports readers around the world as Mike and Alex interact with different sea animals, find solutions to issues, and use fun and games to teach about the importance of conservation.
