Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

I would not recommend this book to all adults because it is more suited for adults who would read this to young children. This could be a school teacher, librarian, or family member who would ask this question to school-aged children.

I do think that the message for adults is that the answer to this question does not always need to be about math, reading, writing, etc. Let the child use their imagination to engage in conversation after a day at school.

I believe its suitable for adults who want to read to their kids or siblings. The book contains more of content for children though it teaches some parental tips.

What Did You Do at School Today? is perfect for adults who have young children in their lives. The book offers inspiration to parents who may not know how to engage their child after a long school day and gives guidance on what kind of questions to ask to learn more about your child's life.

I think this book is suitable for some adults, but not others. It is a great way to bond with younger people in their lives that they want to care for

Suitable for adults who deal with children, whether parents or teachers in the field of education or upbringing in general, it will be useful.

I tend to think that adults are really nothing but very tall children, so I would lean towards yes this book is suitable for adults as well. As other posters have pointed out though, it might be more valuable for adults with children in their lives. A single adult who hasn't been to school in a decade might be able to live vicariously through this book, but reading it to my kids seems a bit more fulfilling.

The book is also suitable for adults to the extent that they can interact with children through the questions that the book has. But aside from that, I would say no.

I think it is suitable for adults who interact with children, such as parents, teachers, grandparents, librarians, and instructors at daycares. The tips in the book can benefit both adults and children.

As parents should always practice empathy and consider the perspective of their children, I believe they should always consider how a book can teach something to young minds. To do that, they should read it themselves, judging with their own eyes. More than that, reading is also a bonding experience that should be done together. Bedtime stories are a fundamental part of the life of a child and bring parents and children closer.
As a last point, What did you do at school today?, as many other children books, is a highly suitable read for those learning English as a second language.

The best audience for this book are parents and young children. While primarily for children, adults can enjoy it too, especially for fostering communication and understanding with their children through engaging questions.

There's no real reason an adult couldn't read this book, but I think it's more valuable when trying to start a conversation with a child. The question of "what did you do at school today?" is really hard for a kid to answer sometimes, and I wonder how much of that is just undeveloped memory systems. This book does a great job prompting and pulling out meaningful answers, which is something most adults already have practice with.
