Depends on where I am and such.
I can focus in a noisy area but if my friends are around it's super hard. >.<
Otherwise focusing isn't a problem.

Not if it is a good book. My active imagination takes me into the books pages to really "live" it. If it isn't an interesting book I usually try to "fix" the book so again, I don't really get distracted. I love to read. I read everyday. It's better than TV.

It depends. If the author captivates me with his/her words I can instantly be sucked into my own bubble consisting of just me and my book. When this happens it takes a lot to get me out of the zone. On the other hand, if the author doesn't entrance me from the get-go, I can easily be distracted and lose focus. When this happens it can take a while before I get in "the zone".

If it's a good book I'm not distracted at all. If it's something that's a long slog to get through then, yes, I am easily distracted. Wait... what's that over there?!

Sorry, I got distracted there for a minute.

I have five kids so I can read through anything. In fact if I'm not careful I will lose all track of time.

Yeah, sometimes when I have something on my mind focusing on the words is a challenge. This doesn't apply if I'm really into my current book of course.

It depends a lot on what I'm reading. Novels are more likely to keep my attention longer. I don't often have a lot of time to read for long stretches anymore, but I'm getting better at reading in short spurts.

Sometimes when my mom is giving me a ride to school and I'm trying to read, my mom starts talking to me. Usually it's simple yes and no questions, bust sometimes she goes full-on mom mode and carries on massive audible assaults on my concentration; this drives me up the wall but I can't say anything. She is, after all, my mom.
The joys of literature transcend the evils of the world. I believe in its miraculious baptism and emotional power of the words trickling down the page. To me, there is no higher artform...

NEVER!! Mostly, if the book is well-written, I can get lost into it without a problem and sometimes I can’t even hear people until they’re screaming in my ears.
My weekend is all booked!

Not if I have my head buried inside a good book! I will admit though, that if my book is not living up to my expectations, I do find that I will get distracted quite often!, tend to put the book down and maybe pick it back up in a few days.

Sooo easily. I wish I could read straight through a book for hours, but I can't.

I don't get distracted easily while reading because I get ridiculously absorbed in whatever book I'm obsessed with at the time. I used to bring books with me to grade school basketball games while my mom and I tended to the concession stand or the payment booth. It was easy for me to fall into books during loud games. I tuned everything around me out as soon as I entered my "zone."

The only time I ever get distracted is when someone goes out of his/her way to talk with me.

I usually get distracted when I have just started to read a book. It takes me some time to focus and get immersed in the story. Once I am into it, i don't bother about any distractions and can read without getting disturbed. The story has to be interesting too!

I seem to get lost in my books and it is hard for me to get distracted but it does happen. I try to read at a time or in an area that is less likely to have distractions so I can just enjoy my book.
