*Intercessor* by John Robert Still is a book about Jim Hampton meets Myriam, who begins to restore the faith of his childhood and makes discoveries that will change his life forever. The storm-turned-hurricane bears down on the city, and Jim relies on that faith to counter a murderous cult chasing him through the darkest corners of the French Quarter. Sounds like a true mystery book, with each encounter adding value to the story. A hint of horror, a surreal ending, this review makes me curious about the book, I don't care for the catholic elements but it should also not disturb me.

The beginning of the review had me thinking this was going to be a mystery, horror story, but I was surprised to read about how it entails the Catholic faith as most characters are Catholic. Not to mention the impending storm which approaches. And every person Jim meets, he is wary of, yet they all play some important role. To say I'm intrigued would be an understatement. I'll surely be having a look at it. Congratulations on BOTD

The book sounds intriguing. New Orleans has always been considered a mysterious city where strange things happen and the unexplainable and magic are part of its everyday life. Jim Hampton is the person who wanted to relax a little bit but got to deal with the dark forces unleased by the storm instead. It will be interesting to read this book.
