This a great review that makes me really want to read the book. I love the aspect of an impending doom and the mystery that entails.

Horror books don't interest me, so I will pass. But I like how you were able to stay hooked throughout the book! The religious themes, as well as the mention of Hurricane Katrina, are appreciated. Thanks for the review!

In this book, Jim Hampton, a Lawyer how was working on Louisiana disaster including chemical spill, having moved out of the firm, he is currently in New Orleans and is sleeping at George's House while George is abroad. In New Orleans something appeared strange. People were uneasy because they were still thinking about hurricane Katrina and thought a storm might be approaching. Them Jim made the decisión to grab additional beers at another establishment after leaving Carlos' bar. He accepted an invitación of Myriam to accompany her the following day to Terrebone Parish to visit her relatives. Meanwhile, two people in one night warned him to be cautious because of the enigmatic mood and impending peril.
This story contains horror and the ending was surreal. This book gives us hope, specially when you are lost or maybe have fallen off your path of faith.

It seems Jim got into some trouble and ended up at a junkie's apartment. I wonder how this story can relate to the looming storm. It sounds like an interesting mystery story.

Thank you for your informative review. I'm glad you liked it so much and the editing was so well done. I hope many others will read it, but I'm going to pass. I don't care for the horror genre and not interested in paranormal.

I am quite taken aback at how the reviewer instantly went on narrating the plot.. which looks really appealing for mystery/thriller enthusiast that happen to exclude me.

I do love though how this book shows how everything has a purpose - especially those that are difficult to understand at first.

Most times, instincts don't lie. I was expecting Attorney Jim Hampton to device ways of saving the people of New Orleans when he felt the looming danger.

I enjoy horror, so I'll probably like Intercessor by John Robert Still. I wonder if Erin has powers and whether Jim will be affected by her words. I'll check this book out.
