Horror books, any day. The movies often creep me out because they are so graphic!

I prefer horror movies to horror books. Its pictorial representation is overwhelming. I like how it is easy to feel and relate to.

I enjoy both! I've definitely seen more horror movies than I've read horror books, though. Stephen King is one of my favorite authors but I haven't explored as many horror books outside of his work as I'd like, although that's something I want to change this year. I think they both have their strengths - there's more description and inner monologue in a book, but the graphic images/jumpscares/etc. of a film can have more of an acute effect.

I am not a huge fan of horror, but if I do consume I prefer to read the book. I find I cannot watch a horror movie to the end as I feel the scenes are not believable. I get annoyed sometimes with the acting and feel that a normal person would not act that way in that particular situation.

I like both .. but movies gave some special effects and an everlasting memory of that ghost😂 by which we can never forget that scene in our whole life.
So I prefer horror movies rather than horror books😂👻

For me, what makes me scared the most I think is the music in the movies. It creates just such a nerve-wracking experience that I do not recreate that in my head when I read. So I think I would prefer the book because then I can concentrate most on the details and the story instead of my heart pounding because of the music.

I prefer both reading and watching horror films/movies. You can make use of your wild imagination while reading horror stories but watching a live movie would add color and drama to your experience-like you get to scream or cringe with characters as they are being played out on the screen.

I really like horror films, especially psychological ones, but I've also read books that are very sinister.

I find horror generally pretty boring in both movies and books, but if i have to pick one than horror movies, i have at least seen some horror movies i have enjoyed. The horror movies i have enjoyed have either been supernatural or psychological

I have never actually read a horror book that i have enjoyed,
A mistake is simply another way of doing things

What passes for horror movies nowadays isn't scary at all. Coated with suspense and effects but not scary to me at least. Maybe it's because i had too many horror movies marathon but i really feel like no movies can scare me as much as a 'good' horror book. But then it's suggestive, maybe my imagination gets the better of me but i'm more thrilled to read horror than watch it.
