When Gabriel Bentley is kidnapped and badly beaten, he doesn't know things will only get worse. A. Marc Ross's "The Conscripted Extremist" seems filled with political intrigue. The sample pages were captivating, and I am eager to know how Gabe emerged after being blackmailed by Homeland Security. Thanks for an excellent review.

A book about politics and governance. It also goes to show some aspect of crime while portraying the lengths people go on both sides of political discourse.

Thank you for a powerful review. These social constructs, and how those with agency choose to behave in their presence—or absence— aren’t easy topics to explore. Your thoughtful review did just that, and with respect. I think we’d agree that this book could not be more ironic, as we watch our country implode. Our modern day society has divided itself into polar opposite ideologies, dug its heels in, and is oddly committed to inflexibility.

I appreciate you highlighting the book’s central themes and how they are interwoven. This looks like it’s going to make for a good read.

I could tell by the review of it that the novel is splendid and worthy to read as it depicts politics scenarios that maybe inspired to real-life politics. I feel that I’ll learn a lot in this novel especially as it gives also awareness to us readers and can change your views towards politicians. As an avid fan of suspense plot I definitely wanted to try reading this.

This review is great- thorough, engaging and applicable. Clearly the story is not only suspenseful and engaging, it also has real world implications and very relative in today's society and political arena. I've read the first few chapters and it's definitely fast paced and engaging. Why did Homeland Security target Gabe? Who's hiding what secrets? Will Gabe get him and his friends free from everyone else's agenda? It's like I'm on the edge of my seat and I'm looking forward to finishing the book and finally getting my answers.
