Rina Mancuso, a 26-year-old woman, started suffering from abuse from her mother and her siblings at the young age of four. She suffered from different gruesome abuse ranging from being isolated from her family by staying in an unhealthy room in their garage, not properly fed and clothed, forced to live without friends, and even meted out physical injuries that left scars. And now, at age 26, Rina realizes that her family has betrayed her once again. Before her mother’s death, she was promised that she would be the sole beneficiary of her mother’s will as compensation for taking care of her mother while she was sick. Rina did so with all diligence, despite what she had been through. She couldn’t give up on her family. However, she realized everything was for nothing after her mom’s will was read by the lawyer. She’s now forced to take an unexpected path without knowing how it will turn out. Will life continue to be unfair to her? Read this book to find out.

The Little Garage Girl’s Puzzle by Katherine Memoli is a book that will draw one to tears. I was overwhelmed with emotion while reading this heartbreaking story. This is a book that is filled with strong themes, which will leave readers pondering as they reach the last page. This intriguing story portrays strong themes such as love, hatred, abuse, bravery, friendship, and family. This can be seen in the abuse Rina suffered from her family and the many other twists that later followed in her life. There was a lot Rina was denied by her family; her childhood and teenage years were taken from her. One will see Rina as a brave young woman who, despite all that she has been through, never gave up on herself but rather continued living, hoping that one-day things will turn around in her life. Her character teaches one an insightful lesson in today's society: that despite the challenges one goes through, perseverance is key. The author did an amazing job as she skillfully conveys a message of resilience that will leave readers feeling sorrow, inspiration, and admiration for Rina's journey.

The character that I loved most in this book is Linda Coe. She is an amazing woman who noticed the abuse Rina was suffering at the hands of her family and tried her very best to stop it. Despite not winning the complaint she filed against Rina’s mother for child abuse, she still sought ways to ease Rina’s suffering. Another favorite character of mine is Patrick. He’s a good man. His love for Rina gave her the strength to push through and face her demons. Their relationship took me on a roller-coaster ride of emotions, and I couldn't help but cheer for them throughout the story. The author did a great job with the character development, making each character feel realistic and relatable, as I could feel each of their emotions. Additionally, there is a lesson to be learned from each character.

I didn’t find any negative aspects or flaws in the book. The book is beautifully crafted. The story plot was well-developed and structured. The author’s creativity is top-notch. Therefore, I rate this fascinating story five out of five stars. I recommend this book to lovers of romance.

This sounds like an emotional story with a powerful message about resilience and hope. Rina's journey and the support from people like Linda and Patrick seem truly moving, and I’d be interested in seeing how she finds her way forward despite everything she's endured.

Suffering abuse from a stranger is one thing and suffering abuse from family members, especially parents who are meant to love you with their lives is a completely different thing. I fee greatly saddened by the abuse and betrayal that Rina had to endure. I am somehow comforted by the fact that she found love with Patrick. I hope she is able to heal and able to give to life more than life was able to give her.

Your review of this book surprised me. I thought the cover and title looked and sounded like something I might be interested in. After reading that it's about child abuse and sends one on such an emotional roller coaster, I don't think it's for me. I was doubly surprised to see you mention romance lovers at the end there. At any rate, this was a great review. Thanks for sharing.

I read the authors background and admire her completely for finding peace in writing through her debilitating disability. The reviewer was exactly as me: liking the book, enjoying the structure and the admirable character of Linda. Sad story.

Your review accurately reflected the book's cover, highlighting the difficult experiences Rina faced throughout her life, and how despite everything, her true nature remained unchanged, only to be hurt again. After reading the latter part of your review, I'm left wondering how much of this book focuses on her challenges versus how much is about romance. Interesting review and book either way.
