This sounds like a heartfelt and emotionally rich story that highlights the strength of a mother’s love and the courage of a child. The theme of hope during hardship makes it a powerful read. Congrats on BOTD!

The novel talk about a mother's intense and genuine love, despite obstacles, doubts, and even death, is the subject of Gloria Galloway's family fiction book Amber's Way. Shortly after her wedding and before their daughter Amber was born, Jessica Langston, a lawyer, lost her husband in the Iraq War. Prior to being diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma, a cancer of the immature nerve cells, Amber's life was largely normal. Good BOTD.

Jessica is a shining example of how a mother can take on the world if it's for her son no matter how tired sad or scared she is, she's always there for Amber.💜

Even when a parent is no longer in their child's life, they still play a role in helping them grow. The way Amber talks about her father in the prologue really reflects that. Ready for some heartwarming heartbreak with this read.

I'm so glad you liked the book, and it was well edited. I also liked the author's writing style. While it might be hard to read, due to its sadness, I have added it to my list of books to read due to the love and family tale behind it. It's hard losing anyone you love and fighting for them to be well also.

This is my first time hearing such thing as cancer of the immaure nerve cells....scary. Also, from your review and from the sample I read, the storyline isn't just emotionally-heavy but extremely realistic as well. Even from the review, it sounds like a real life story...someone's personal life history.
I can only imagine how tough it must have been for a child like Amber to witness all those turbulence in her life at such an early age and the emotional rollercoasters the mother had to go through. For the sake of Amber, I hope as well that this tale has a happy ending.
Congrats on BOTD.

Amber is definitely an inspiring character. I really can’t wait to read this book. I would to learn how they actually coped without the man of the family.

Apologies, but I don't believe I would be reading your book, because while the process of bonding should be a positive thing, I am afraid the looming shadow of cancer will make it look like a lingering goodbye. Like a desperate attempt to leave behind some memories in case treatment won't work, and that is why I avoid such literature. Still, congrats on BOTD!

Amber’s Way by Gloria is clearly an emotional, sad read enriched with the themes of motherly love, romance and sickness.

It made me feel better knowing this is fiction; otherwise, tears would flow. 😪

I am certain that this is a must-read.

Congratulations on being the BOTD.

Losing a loved one is truly hard, and going through such struggles is even harder. As a single mother with a sick child, I feel sorry for Jessica. Your review has made me want to read this book and I will add it to my shelves. Thank you.
