Reading Harmony by Apala Banerjee felt like sitting with old friends and rediscovering parts of myself. I found myself especially drawn to Meera — her quiet resilience and inner conflict were so relatable it almost hurt. And Rishi’s journey made me reflect deeply on how often we chase ‘balance’ without realizing it’s already within us. Banerjee's writing isn't just storytelling; it’s an invitation to listen to the silences inside us. This book didn’t just touch me — it lingered."

"Harmony: The Saga of the Earth" by Apala Banerjee is a book that capture the author’s response to the escalating environmental degradation. Banerjee verbalizes her deep connection with nature through 30 touching poems with accompanying illustrations. Her objective was to raise awareness about environmental issues. Some of the poems are heartbreaking due to the impact of environmental hazards that are hurting and killing the wildlife. This book of poems definitely deserves a 5 out of 5-star rating and should appeal to any reader that really cares about the environment. Sadly, the current administration is dead set on eliminating the environmental regulations that protect clean water and breathable air. I fear for my great grandchildren that will have to live with the effects of this total mismanagement of our environment. These criminals are the ones that should be sent to El Salvador prisons. I highly recommend this book to readers of all age groups and hope that people make wiser choices in future elections. Worrying about retirement funds is foolish when people vote for candidates that do not care about our environment. I wonder how many voters are beginning to realize they voted for the wrong candidates. Allegiances to political parties instead of voting for the best candidates is destroying America.

I never would’ve thought a book like this was up my alley, but now I’m tempted to reconsider. This one sounds quite intriguing, regardless of your mention of grammatical errors.

How the reviewer praised the simple illustrations for carrying profound lessons is something I often overlook in poetry collections, but it sounds like the visual elements in this one quietly amplify the message. I love when art and poetry work together to nudge readers toward deeper reflection.
