Always the real thing! I don't usually like how the other person reads the dialogue. It sounds different in my head.

I've never actually listened to an audio book but I plan to purchase a few in the following few weeks and see what I think of them. I can pretty much guarantee that I'll prefer real books to an audio version of it though.

There's nothing like the feel of a new or old book in your hands, the crisp pages and the smell is wonderful.I love the book but I also do many other things so at times I like a good audiobook also,as long as someone does not walk up behind me and scare me to death becouse I did not hear or see them.:)

I can't do audio books... I tend to fall asleep listening to them.. I love reading a physical book but sometimes tablets are so much easier.

The more I say I will never do something, the more surprised I am when I try it and like it. I said I would never read books on an electronic device--I wouldn't trade my Kindle for the world. I said I would never read a book on a phone. I got a smartphone last month and I can't tell you how many books I have read on it. I am a visual person and said that I could never concentrate with an audio book. Last week I downloaded an audio version of David Copperfield in the hopes that it would help me sleep. I was more awake after the third chapter than when I started listening to it and I have read it before. I guess for insomnia I would need to pick book with a boring narrator. The one for David Copperfield is Irish and he is excellent at reading a story and making it come to life. So, thanks to him, I really do enjoy audio books. I still prefer reading than listening, but at least now I know that if my eyesight gets too bad to read, then I will have an alternative.

definitely the real thing. I would get easily annoyed my the person reading the book in his/her voice. I prefer the voice in my head. Also their tone and pauses might not be the same flow as I would have when reading a book.

I enjoy both. Sometimes, I like being read to, and sometimes I like to read. It all depends on my mood, and schedule. Audio books are fairly convenient!

I still prefer a hardcover book, but will settle for my eReader. I am usually annoyed by the fact that the voice on audiobooks never sounds like what I imagine the character would sound like. I wish I could get into them more, I would enjoy listening to a good book on a long drive.

I really enjoy audiobooks because you get the storyline of a book and you are still able to go on with your day and accomplish many tasks. Audiobooks let me have the best of both worlds.

I've never used an audiobook before. I don't consider it reading, so when I want to read a book, I like having the real thing.

I have to say I prefer a real book, but I do use audiobooks. I am dyslexic and I used audiobooks through college to make it easier for me, but I had a hard copy of the book in front of me at the same time. Now I use audiobooks when commuting to work since I have spent up to 3 hours in the car to get home. I will always prefer a real book, I have use audiobooks.

I've never listened to an audiobook before so I'm really not sure how I'd feel about it.

But it does seem like a good way to multitask.

I should give it a try soon!

I prefer real books I love the feeling of turning the pages and the triumph (and mostly sadness) you feel when you finish a really good book. I feel that if you read a real book yourself you become more entranced by the storyline and feel more involved in the plot.

I have to read books. I cannot stand audiobooks. I have listened to them in the car before and the narrators are not that great.
