I just finished The Fixer: The Invisibles by Ozzie Logozzo. This is the third in a series of four books. It is a fun mystery that was quick to read but hard for me to follow in some parts of the book.

FBI negotiator Alexandrea Stone's calm head and even temperament make her excellent at her job. Her history with hostage-type situations helps her to negotiate the slippery conversations with fugitives. Alex's bravery when faced with conflict shows just how far she's willing to go when trying to get to the truth of each situation. The storyline of this book gets more complex as it goes. The part that I had a hard time understanding, was whenever Giuseppe Rossini makes his reappearance. I don't think there is enough backstory of Alex and Rossini's past included in this book. Fortunately, I had read the first book, so I remembered who he was.

I enjoyed the first few chapters of this book the most. Once Rossini came back and Lorenzo and Salvatore Battaglia are introduced, the storyline seemed to get too complex for me to follow. I did like how Alex's self-reflection told more of her story and helped her to figure out her life as well as the predicaments that were presented.

I rate The Fixer: The Invisibles a three out of five since it didn't tell enough of the backstory of Alex and Rossini for this to be a stand-alone book. I felt like parts of the storyline seemed to expect me to have the solution to each clue before I could figure out what was happening. The book was flawlessly edited though and had good character development. There wasn't any profanity or sexual content. I think those who like mystery books would enjoy this series, especially if they are quick to catch on.
