The Sisterhood by Maisie Moon is a historical fiction that consists of four short stories that follow four incredible women known as the Daughters of Eve. The stories are set in four different eras in time.

In the first story, which is set in 1307, Sidonie Dupont, the leader of the sisterhood, must work to stop the satanic sacrifice of a young woman named Sara. The next is set in 16th-century France. Angelique escapes her abusive husband and awakens her powers. Now she must save her daughter from demonic possession. The third story sees Gertrude O'Brien inherit a chest containing powerful artifacts. She also awakens her magical gifts and works to help the workhouse she works for. The final story is set in the heat of World War 2, where Siobhan, an Irish mother of eight, bravely confronts an Irish traitor and rescues a downed British pilot.

This book was very inspiring in my opinion. I found each character's courage very remarkable, given the adversities they faced. The author did an excellent job of highlighting the unique challenges faced by women across different eras, from women basically being property in 1307 to the marital laws of 16th-century France. The stand-out part of this book had to be Sidonie's story. Her bravery and strength made her easily my favorite character. I also appreciated the timeless bond these women had through their devotion to their faith and their gift of light. The dialogue was seamless and easy to follow, and the pacing was excellent, as the book never dragged on at any point. Overall it was a great read, and I am looking forward to what next the author has in store. I did not notice any real negative issues with the book. The fact that this book had no errors was also an added advantage.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. It was a very engaging and inspiring read.

The concept of The Sisterhood sounds fascinating, with each story offering a unique look into different eras and strong, courageous women. Sidonie’s bravery, in particular, caught my attention. Based on the review, I’d likely read this book to experience the empowering stories of these women, especially since the author’s writing seems seamless and engaging. I’d definitely be picking this one up.

Women’s position in society in late medieval France, as it was almost everywhere, was difficult. Their position in law and marriage was tenuous and so these women show imagination and strength to rise above their constraints. A lovely and interesting subject, including 4 stories set from then until recent times. The reviewer has described it well.

The book " The sisterhood", has an intriguing storyline. This time hopping tale follows four fierce women unlocking their magical legacies in the face of dark forces, from thwarting medieval cults to outwitting demons and wartime traitors. It is a sharp exploration of power, resistance and the enduring strength of a hidden sisterhood.

Thank you for your review. I read a few pages of the sample about Sidonie, one of the sisterhood called the Daughters of Eve. They came from a long lineage of holy and spiritual supernational warriors, seeking evil and ridding the world of it.

The review explained the book well. It seems like an interesting topic. The time period the stories cover was difficult for women, so weaving a story about the strength of women is wonderful. Congrats on BOTD!

Just through the sample that I read alone, I found myself drawn to the story, the characters we were presented with, and also the way that the words seemed to flow together like perfectly still water. I'm definitely going to pick the book up when I have some time, as I am intrigued to watch the unfolding of the main character's journey.

I love the idea of 4 short stories, about women, in a different era. Women have had unique challenges in every period of time, and it must be interesting to read about their challenges and courage.

The Sisterhood is a powerful collection of four interlinked stories following women from different centuries—Sidonie (1307), Angelique (1500s), Gertrude (1800s), and Siobhan (1940s)—each of whom inherits a divine light energy meant to combat evil. The stories blend historical hardship with spiritual purpose, as each woman discovers her place in a secret lineage that fights a dark demonic force named Azazel.
The stories made me feel empowered because it celebrates female strength across centuries. If u enjoyed books like the Daughters of the Witching Hill by Mary Sharrat or Future Witches by Alix E. you will find something familiar but fresh here.
4.5/5 -A beautifully written empowering book that left me wanting more.
