That's a really good point actually - if you don't like an author why would you read enough of them to hate them?Sarah1 wrote:I don't have any I particularily hate. If I didn't like a book to begin with it is doubtful I would pick up anything else by them in order to determine whether or not I "hated" them.

I don't know why but I don't like to read a book after half the world has been raving on about how great it is.

I bought one of her books. spent 7 bucks.
And after 22 pages...Not only did I stop reading it..but remaind angry at her for the next couple of days..of how f*Cking CLICHè..how BANAL of a writer she is.
I figure "Damn, anybody could become a writer"
LEE CHILD..I don't hate his books per se.
But I've never finished one.
Started them..went half way..and got bored.

oh, I could I have forgot..THE one I hate the most..
STEPHEN KING.
At first as a teen, I liked him, cause I didn't read much.
When I started reading all sorts of books..and I re-read KING. I felt gipted.
FRANKLY: HE IS BOOOOORRING..
Yes, that includes you "THE SHINNING"..Boring....
IT was good...EVEN IT WASN't cut with LONG BORING SLOW PARTS.
He's too self absorbed. He doesn't make things thight for the reader.
He sells for his NAME alone. VIRGIN's of the BOOK WORLD, might like him, because he's simple and down to earth. Therefore you feel less stupid and you feel like you're a REAL reader.
But once you see what's out there. You realized his plots move at the pace of PAINT drying on the wall.
That's who.
