Like it or not, this kind of service is here to stay. Thank you for your appreciation!Seetha E wrote: ↑08 Jan 2025, 02:33 I was first intrigued by AI, and then anxious about it. I soon realized it was unavoidable. The book appeals to me since it discusses AI and demonstrates how to apply it to improve our lives. Being open and accepting the inevitable change in a timely and informed way is better than being anxious and avoiding it and missing the chance to capitalize. Your review has piqued my interest. I will look out for this book. Thanks for your informative and amazing analysis.

I agree. Like it or not, despite all the hype, AI can be crucial in certain applications, so we all better learn how to use it for serious tasks.Elavarasi Charles wrote: ↑04 Apr 2025, 16:51 We're standing at a point where we can't avoid AI anymore. Demystifying it is the need of the hour, especially for business applications. The authors provide practical ideas to integrate AI into the system all in layman's terms and tread as far as to provide a glossary which is admirable. You've also mentioned in detail the benefits and beneficiaries. Seems like a book I'll have in my shelf. Thank you for the informative review!

Business executives overthink a lot when it comes to AI. Hope this book clears things up a bit and helps their companies generate true impact.NetMassimo wrote: ↑16 Nov 2024, 03:52 [Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Demystifying AI for Business Executives" by Henry Collins Xavier Taylor II.]
Artificial intelligence is currently a subject of interest far beyond the scientific community. The proliferation of AI services we've seen in recent years made it mainstream. However, that made it difficult to understand what's hype and what are the actual possibilities offered by those services. Demystifying AI for Business Executives, written by Henry Collins and Xavier Taylor II, two authors with great experience in the information technology field, offers a practical guide to harnessing the power of AI to improve your business. Using AI in one's profession is becoming more and more common, so in the future, knowing how to use it will become crucial. Like it or not, it's becoming another instrument you'll be using in your office.
Terms such as chatbots have become popularized thanks to the vast growth of AI services. However, jargon connected to AI can be confusing to people who don't have a technical background. The authors of this book used simple terms to explain AI and added a glossary at its end with definitions for its concepts. The introduction is crucial to help readers understand the real potential of the use of AI in their business.
After this introduction, the authors start providing very practical ideas for implementing the use of AI services in your business. They don't shy away from the possible problems that can arise during that adoption: for example, they specify that executives must work with IT people. They include some real-life cases of companies that already adopted some of those services with success.
If I have to pick a limit in this guide, it's that the applications of AI concern companies of a certain size in which there are executives and an IT department that can take care of technical tasks. If you're a small business owner or a professional working on your own, you might need to learn how to install, configure, and run an AI. To be fair, the book's title mentions business executives, so you can't really fault the authors.
The big merit of this guide is that it offers an overview of AI's capabilities and the possibilities offered to companies to take advantage of AI services. The authors go beyond the hype offering practical ideas to implement AI in a company's operations of various types. Indeed, there are applications that can be suitable for diverse fields. Demystifying AI means understanding the substance behind the hype and recognizing its usefulness. For these reasons, I rate Demystifying AI for Business Executives 5 out of 5 stars. If you're a business executive, this is a must-read. Even if you're not a business executive, this guide offers a good idea of how to take advantage of AI for your job.
