I am very much the same. So I know what you mean. I do love my quiet, alone time though.Kinza Sheikh wrote:I am what we writers call 'complex character'. Quite with persons I dont know well. Talkative within the close circle. But somedays, i spend whole day with a talking fast. And somedays i keep on with my blabbering even with peoples i don't know. So the answer is, it varies.
My day job actually requires me to not only work closely with people, but to actually be positive and encouraging. While I love my job, I often times have to put on my people face. Kind of funny, because I had an interview the other day where my soon to be boss had noticed that I had a serious personality and was looking for me to light up in front of a bunch of people. I apparently delivered on that, but I found it a little funny because this is something I've had to really work on. There are just some days I don't like people.
Anyway, as has been said, you can't really put all writers into one group.

I found this to be interesting, because I felt very much the same way when I met my husband. Some people I just click with. Though I have found that I am less comfortable with middle aged men than most other new people I meet. Maybe "less comfortable" is the wrong word though. I guess I just find them more intimidating? This sometimes happens with women of the same age as well. I'm still in my 20's though, so it may just have to do with how I was raised and respecting my elders.biggsrv wrote: I also am most comfortable with people I know. Having said that I'm generally comfortable with woman that I don't know than men. What does that say? Perhaps that's why the night I met my future wife, it was more like greeting an old friend than dating a stranger. Hmm....again. Might fit that into my next novel.

That's right, I have a muse. It is spelled MusE. My writing is influenced by the interactions of people I meet - us and ME.
