You should google up strategies and tips on how to use facebook and twitter properly because it's really worth it.
And if you don't have a lot of friends on facebook/twitter yet, you could ask someone who does to help you with it.

I agree with these comments, however, I'd try to make sure the books you're commenting on are similar in theme or feel to the book you've written. Also, starting a blog about writing or on literary criticism might help. It's a lot of work, but you've got to build momentum to get sales!
