I have pulled all nighters reading so its hard to say, but its up there. Last month I read straight through a plane ride from Germany to NY and that was 7.5 hrs so I may have a slight problem. (I took the book with me on my one bathroom break)

It depends on the book. I usually cannot read for more than 1 - 1 1/2 hours at a time even with a good book. I take a break for while & then go back to read for another hour or so.

Once I get started, I find it unbelievably hard to stop.

I find that my average is about two hours. Unless it's amazing and I can't put it down. Then I might not be seen until it's done.

I can read forever! Sometimes I only stop to fix something to eat or go to the bathroom! Reading is my addiction. :-)

Longest was 4 hours with only a ten minute break.
But on average 2-3 hours.

I can read for several hours if the book is that good. If the book hasn't drawn me in yet, I may start drifting away after a few minutes. For the most part, though, I usually read an hour or two at a time.

It all depends on how into the book I am. Sometimes and hour a night will do, but then I have the nights where "Just one more chapter" turns into 3 hours later!

If I'm enjoying a book I won't put it down until I'm finished. Even if that means reading at 2am (like last night while reading all fall down by Jennifer Weiner).

I love reading so when I sit down to read it is almost impossible for me to stop, but I like to read at night and I can read for hours when I have no one around to distract me.

If the book is very interesting, I could read for 8 hours at a stretch. I could remembered when I was reading the Fan Club, I didn't put it down until I finished reading it, and it took me about 9 hours. :D

I can read for hours if I'm reading a really good book.

I can finish a book in about 6-8 hours and because I read on my kindle I can multitask while doing so.

Some good points being made: depends on the book, taking a break, getting a headache. I can (on the rare occasions when I have the time) read for about 4 hours, but I allow myself to take short breaks to get something to drink and or snack on, pet the cat, exercise my legs a bit, etc. I kind of think of these breaks as like those I take at work because I need to look away from the computer for a few minutes every so often or stretch my legs. More than 4 hours, I have to take a much longer break, even if the book is really good.

I love reading but it's hard when you're a mom of a pre-teen and a teenager with special needs. I remember reading for hours at a time when I was kid. Nowadays, I read on the subway or at bedtime. I have a vacation coming soon, just me and the hubby and I'll have more time to read; looking forward to some leisure time :D
