I always feel guilty if I don't finish a book and most of the time it's so unbearable that I eventually just finish it even if I don't enjoy it.
If there’s a book you really want to read but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it. ~Toni Morrison

I always feel guilty. No matter what.
However, I found this thing called the "Rule of 30" basically, if you're more than 30 pages in and STILL aren't interested, then you should be allowed to quit. But even then, I'm still guilty!!!

I have to finish every book I start because if not it will eat at me. I always think that maybe it will get better and keep reading it.

I feel a bit guilty if I don't finish a book, but I don't finish every book I start anyway. In my head I know that some books are just not worth my time, but I still feel guilty. One way I get around this is to read more than one book at a time. Then I can think that I am in the middle of a book even if I never get around to finishing it.

If I'm not enjoying a book I don't feel guilty if I stop reading it.

No, if I'm not enjoying a book there's normally a valid reason for it and I'll put it down and forget about it. If I think there's a chance it'll get better I'll persevere, but if the writing or the story line isn't doing it for me, then it's pretty pointless I think persevering.

There have been books that I just could not get into so I put them away for a while. Almost always though I will go back to them, sometimes years later and will devour them. There have been a few that just weren't reading though - no guilt for stopping then!

I do try to always finish the book. I feel like I can not judge the book based on my experience if I did not give it a fair chance by completing it. You never know, the ending may surprise you.

Depends on the book honestly, ill push through around 100 pages and if it is still awful that where I draw the line. Guilt though, nope. I just let it go and move on to another book that I will actually enjoy.

I wouldn΄t say guilty but kind of bugs me if i don΄s so I tend not to leave books unfinished! Sometimes as you read on a book that initially seemed bad you might even change your mind!

I used to have the urge to finish a book whether I liked it or not. Now I usually don't finish it if I think it's bad but I definitely do feel bad about it when I don't.

I do feel guilty. However, not as guilty if I were to force myself to read a book I was not fond of. I would have resented it and not enjoyed the book.

I do have a pile of books I plan to go back to at some point. Some books take a little more time to read. I save those when I don't have anything else to read at the moment.
