I have read most of the series just because I always feel the need to read the whole series if I can- I know silly reason to read a series but... Anyway I agree that it gets super redundant and annoying when the males treat the lifemates as if they are china dolls even if they are Carpathian themselves. I mean seriously after what 20 or so books the males haven't figured it out yet.legendary_mama wrote:I read the first six or seven in the Dark series. I loved the way the story pulls you in, and I ended up rooting for the poor Carpathian male who couldn't find his lifemate. However, after the first two or three books, I just felt like I was reading the same story over and over with different characters. The storyline is great, but I struggled with the monotony and repetative 'carpathian male searches desparately for lifemate, she rebels..' I did not finish the series because it became too much of the same story.

I love her Dark and Game series. I just love how she takes on the vampire myth and makes it different and new. And the super soldiers are interesting. She makes love, danger, adventure, and life just seem exciting. I just read Dimitri and Skylar's story. One I have been waiting on for a while and it was great. She never fails to disappoint her fans.

Even saying that i need to give credit where its due. Burning Wild is one of my all time favorite novels still to this day and i read at least 5 to 6 books a week. She broke the mold when she wrote that one.
