I've been watching what i eat more. Drinking less soda, eating more veggies and meats since my diet largely contained a LOT of carbs. For the most part I eat the same though I found I do eat a lot less though when I get my 2 cups of cold water in the morning

I hate dieting, but I had some pretty serious health problems last year and needed to lose weight... just went to the gym a lot (and by a lot, I mean, A LOT! Well, a lot for me... every single day, maybe 30 minutes on average) and ended up losing about 30 pounds within the first couple of months. I still go to the gym just as much, but I've reached a plateau in my weight... guess that means this is where I should be... I would probably lose more if I ate healthier and stopped drinking soda, but that's never going to happen, so I'll just be happy like this.
Oh, and my health issues are all better now! Yay!

Diets don't work, they're just a temporary stop-gap to a problem NO ONE BUT YOU can solve...

Design a diet of all of the foods you enjoy and adjust accordingly re " amounts " and " frequency "...

My primary goal was to be able to maintain a certain weight while Still incl. baked potatoes w/buttuh...as well as

bread, cheese, steaks, ribs, etc...

You are your own Guinea pig, so experiment, experiment, experiment...don't expect a " book " or diet guru, to solve your problem...one's " genetic " makeup re METABOLISM is as unique /individual as one's finger print..

Since you're never really " deprived ", all cravings lessen...more a way of life than a diet....

For real! I actually tried to cut out something that I LOVE horribly because it's "bad for you" but I found that without having it, I was super depressed. So I thought, I would rather be fat and happy than slightly thinner and sad. And then adding back to my diet actually helped me lose weight because I learned to have it in moderation only. Yay!

Now I am maintaining weight with good exercise! Whee!

Kudos to you ALynn!

I've learned to " listen to my body " at times I crave WEIRD things, like Sardines or Grapes, Pineapple, etc...I've learned that there's probably a vitamin or mineral that my body is " missing " that these foods are rich in...

The key is to get off SUGAR, cause once you get off that ROLLER-COASTER, you're cravings will never be the same.........it takes 3 days to break the SUGAR /POISON addiction...after that the body " adjusts " and only wants foods that are good for it...

I eat whatever I want, and never gain an ounce, cause I no longer feel DEPRIVED, which always led to the STARVING /BINGING syndrome, which took over my life for years...

There are many books out there now BY REPUTABLE /FAMOUS doctors substantiating the dangers of sugar to the body ( the REFINED /PROCESSED CRAPPY kind, NOT the natural fruit kind )...........if you're interested let me know and i'll PM you...it has changed my life forever, NO MORE DIETING...
Sugar just messes up your system and causes many health probs...
I never get headaches, indigestion, and have hair and nails of a 20 yr.old. etc...flawless skin, etc...btw, I'm eating chocolate right now, SUGAR FREE! ( you'd never know the difference ) it used to be HORRID !

End of sermon, hopefully I didn't bore you too much! bottom line is : " you are what you eat ", so drop the muffins, cakes, syrup, jams n 'jellies, cookies, sodas, etc ( unless they're SUGAR-FREE )

I've dropped salt too ( I use a substitute ) most prepared /processed food contains so much levels of Sodium, it's a " heart attack " on a plate...

Good Luck ALynn
