I don't know that I can say I'm "in love" with a book character, but I've become awfully charmed by the Eve Dallas character in J. D. Robb's IN DEATH series. I am loving the personal growth the author has shown in this character throughout the books, without Eve loosing her "kick-butt" qualities.

while I have loved many of the characters since I read a lot and the authors I like are so good but the last one I fell in love with had to be lacey O'Carroll from "the bride wore spurs" by Sharon Ihle. at the beginning of the book Sharon wrote "a man who wears spurs has high expectations. a woman who wears spurs has a mind of her own". you have to know it's going to be a very enjoyable read with a lot of laughs along the way.

I recently fell in love with Augustus Waters from the book "The Fault in our Stars". Seems like the perfect boyfriend to have! So honest, a lot of humor and genuinely nice.Makes you believe in love again. Which makes the end even sadder of course.

A part from that I will always love Mr. Darcy from Pride & Prejudice. Just because he was the first man of the classic English books I read.

Oh and I almost forgot.. I adore Ronald Weasley, from Harry Potter. It was the first book I ever read in English and I loved that character!

Fifty Shades of Grey
Christian Grey ....Although the book is very pedestrian in its style of writing, I wouldn't consider it a very great work of literary art. As well as the constant product placement that is so annoying, you begin to wonder if the author is getting some sort of kick back. However the story of how this girl gets pulled in to this kind of relationship with this man is enough to hold your attention. For some reason I ( like the female character in the book) am constantly thinking about how this man got to this place in his life where he can only connect with others through such a level of brutality. I find my self drawn in as to how it will work out

:P It was the character of the doctor, Dr Iannis in Louis De Bernieres Captain Correlli's Mandolin. Absolutely wonderful person, would love to have had him for a father!

I don't normally 'fall' for fictional characters, but Eric Northman from the True Blood book series definitely got me!!! I've read the whole series, about 15 books I think and by the end of it I wished I was a vampire haha!

I understand. I haven't read the books, but I fell in love with Eric in the TV series about half way through.

I would have to say Daenerys Targaryen in all of the ASOIAF books. I was rooting for her from the very beginning and was always surprised at her strength and cunning.

I think i slightly fell in love with Gatsby, or perhaps more with his 'glittering, beautiful world', even though of course it turned out to be not so beautiful after all.

Also Robbie from Atonement - he was so gentlemanly! , and when I was younger with the Harry Potter characters , once i'd finished the series it was almost like i missed them or at least missed reading about them.

Bobby Tom Denton! From Susan Elizabeth Phillips' "Heaven, Texas". He's Matthew McConaughey but better!

I would definitely have to say Sherlock Holmes. He is one of the characters whom I most sympathize with. Also, if you are counting manga in this, then I would say Kakashi Hatake from Naruto. He's my ultimate favorite character. :D

As I have recently just gotten into books a lot, I do not know if I have actually ever fell in love with a fictional character in a book.

Brian Scott from Sam Stafford's novel The Vampire Revelation: Demon Gene. He was so kind, thoughtful, very intelligent, strong... I connected with him. He's the kind of man you can count on and that's loveable.
