I really don't know because it's kinda hard to pick. If had to pick one of them I would pick Charles Dickens. I really like his books, one reason is because his books challenges the readers. Which could be in using your imagination in stories like "A Christmas Carol" or Oliver Twist. If Mr. Dickens was alive today, I believe he would be a very good Young Adult author. I think during the era he was living his writing catered to the people of his time. But still today people are reading his book, which is awesome.

I agree with the Dr. Seuss comment, but also Shakespeare. There are so many unknowns about his real life that it would be great to fill in the blanks.

If I could bring an author back from the dead, it would either be Dr. Seuss or Edgar Allen Poe. I would love to meet Edgar Allen Poe; I imagine he'd be very odd and an interesting person to spend time with. Dr. Seuss would probably be a little strange as well, but mostly I would like to see if he could come up with more ideas for books. He had such a distinct writing style that's extremely difficult to imitate.

Ayn Rand.. because i want to sit down and have a very long chat with her about all of her ideologies, want to ask her if she actually believes that such people as she mentions in her novels, do exist. Were the characters purely imaginary, or inspired from a real life person? oh, so many questions....

I would either choose to bring back Tolkien or Lovecraft. I'd love for Tolkien to write more in his Middle Earth setting, and I'd love for Lovecraft to have an influence on today's horror genre. There haven't been many books that have given me the sense of dread and horror that Lovecraft's short stories inspired.

If I could bring back anyone from the dead it would have to be Jane Austen. her stories are a classic you can't put them down and there are so many of them. You kind of want to go into her head and wonder why she wrote all the stories she had.
