What faction would you have chosen at 16?

Would have chosen dauntless, but personality traits are a bit from every faction.

I would have been born into candor my family values truth and feels that there should never be any secrets and because of this I don't have much privacy. I definitely would have chosen dauntless. I'm the wild one in the bunch and at many times I've been referred to as tris because of our similar attitudes.

I think I would have been born into Candor since my family places utmost importance on Trust and Honesty. However at the age of 16, I might choose Erudite since I like to study and read. But then again, I might choose Candor as I do not want to leave my family. So I feel that at the age of 16, it's kind of too young to determine the course of route to take in the future. Especially when making a decision that will determine where you stand in the future.

I probably would choose Amity, since I love plants, gardening, and farming, and feel most comfortable among nature. However when I took the test on the Divergent movie's website, I got Abnegation, ha ha. I'm not selfless at all.

I have to say that at the age of 16 I would have chosen Eurdite. At that age my life revolved around knowledge (it still does) and I had big plans for my future. As I have grown older, I can't say that I would change my answer. If I were living out the book, my answer would probably be different.

I would have been born into Abnegation, and at 16 would probably have chosen Erudite. I would have grown to regret this choice, and at some point wished I had chosen Candor instead ;)

I would choose Erudite because I like learning a lot. When I was studying in college and working, the best part I enjoyed is to do research and reading. I always think that you'll have more power with more knowledge.

Erudite then and now. To be educated is to be powerful (for better or for worse)

I would have got up from my seat, grabbed the knife and definitely chosen Dauntless. Minus the whole Universal Soldier issue it looked like a fun faction. I am somewhat of a nerd so I probably would have worked where Four worked. Coming from a military family I might have been born into anyways.

I would have been born into Erudite for sure. My family is intelligent but I've never been as bright (suck at math) or as into studying as they have. I'm inquisitive and I love reading, doing research and my grades are pretty good (unless it's math) but I would have definitely transferred out of Erudite to be in Dauntless because like the Dauntless, I believe in ordinary acts of bravery and in the courage that has one standing up for another. I know my fears, I acknowledge them and I try my best to face them such as my fear of heights that I overcame by doing a high element obstacle course ten feet high and the flying fox. I'm a firm believer in justice as well.

I think 16 is an age where most people decide the course of their life. Most choose their course and follow that field or all those years studying would be wasted. I discovered my passion a couple of years before I was 16 and after I left school, I'm slowly working towards it.

Honestly, the sciencey knowledgey one. I would obviously not choose it, if I knew what was going on (if similar things such as what was going on in Divergent were happening), but outside of that, definitely would.

Given my family and its values I would have be chosen for Amity given our history for engaging in peaceful farm work and creating bonding relationships with our animals. Everyone is welcome and kind and we express genuine interest in other people. After turning 16, however, I would be chosen for Dauntless. I was quite a rebellious little thing and I just loved doing reckless and adventurous things. If I were forced to choose at 16 in real life, I would be defensive. I hate being tied up to things. It was bad enough that I was trying to discover my personal individuality. Having something else to quicken that natural human progress would have made things worse. We as human beings need gradual change into discovering ourselves. There's no need to rush things.

I would say that I would have been born into Amity or Abnegation, I probably would have picked Abnegation at 16. I was very selfless and simple. I did not like a lot of fuss and I still don't. I hate looking in the mirror, always have. Not because I am ugly. I just never had the need. I never was greedy or wanted a lot for myself, I gave more than I ever took. I still do to a fault.

I would have been born into Dauntless and would have embraced it completely. But when the time came to choose I think I'd feel most comfortable in the Amity faction. It's close enough to Abnegation that it still promotes service and thinking of others without being so strict that the 16 year old me would think it's depriving. It would be hard to give up the thought of all the knowledge one could gain as an Erudite though, but although i would enjoy that aspect, I value more the kind of people that i'd be surrounded by and would still choose Amity.
