An eBook lover here!!
Hello, I LOVE reading. It is my real passion and takes my mind all over the world.
However, my company makes eBook Readers and is opening a new eBook Store. I am heading that up. I have found that I can read longer (no eye strain), help the environment (no tree cutting, no Paper Mill Sludge, less landfill), and carry a library of 8,000 eBooks and my music all in my hand.
I hope that eBook lovers are welcome here.
I am a very peaceful sort and mainly I am here to get some advice on what types of books people like and what I should have on my website!

Dear Josh:JoshBransonTeacher wrote:Welcome! I love ebooks and am just starting to get into them. I think that they are definitely the future of publishing.
I am so happy for your welcome. I did not know how I would be received on here. Yes, books and eBooks all are reading material... but some people are so solid in support of paper and others know the damages that come with bleached paper.
I think I am a bit unique on here as I work for a company that actually makes eBook Readers and has a huge new eBook Store going online within days. I am hoping people will be interested and ask questions about new eBook Readers and where they can purchase eBooks... but it is only a hope.
Thank you!!

Dear Fran:Fran wrote:I don't think there is any animosity towards e-readers on this site. It's just a matter of personal preference & "old habits die hard".
Personally I can't make up my mind but no doubt eventually I'll go the electronic route ... even if it is kicking & screaming
Once you do make that decision you will wonder why you did not go the electronic route sooner. Not only are you helping the environment, but having the ability to increase font sizes, change font styles, play music while reading, have the device read to you and turn pages automatically will all please you. Plus, no more boxes of books strewn all around the house. Everything is right in your hand. PLUS... with an E-Ink screen you will find you get no eye strain. That was my wife's most pleasant discovery. She found she could read far longer and more often.
Also, a lot of the older classics are no longer in print... but they are FREE in eBook form. My dad, when I was 15, bought me a hardcover of "The Call of the Wild" by Jack London. Recently, I got that on my Pocket PRO for free and am again falling in love with that story. Also, I had seen the 6 remakes of the movie: "Hunchback of Notre Dame". I got that for free and am thilled with all the detail that movies left out.
Going electronic may make you kick and scream until you try it. Then you will love this!
Thank you for your wonderful post!!
